Araw ng Dabaw 2009

Seal of Davao City

Araw ng Dabaw will be upon us again in March 2009. This year is the 72nd anniversary of the city’s foundation day, and the theme is “Pagtupad sa Dakilang Pangako“. For more information about Davao City’s history, please see the relevant entry in Wikipedia.

Here is the Calendar of Activities, courtesy of the City Tourism Operations Office. The official date of Davao City’s foundation day is 16 March, but there are many events scheduled around this date (including the 2nd Davao Food Appreciation Tour).

Sad to say, the local government isn’t yet thoroughly IT-fied — wala pang holistic program to get all agencies and stakeholders together in one electronic space. Long story! Buti na lang nandito tayong mga bloggers to get the word out pronto. big grin

    Hi!

I would like to ask for your permission if we could feature your “Visit Davao” column in our magazine here in Toronto. We are called Kayumanggi. And for our March issue, which will be out on the 13th, we will feature Araw ng Dabaw. I was just wondering if we could add you as one of our contributors.

Kayumanggi is a monthly lifestyle magazine distributed in the Greater Toronto Area. This is a free publication and we distribute the magazine in various locations such as the Philippine Consulate of Toronto, several Filipino community centers and a variety of Asian stores and shops.

Hope to get a positive feedback from you. Thank you!

we look forward to the bodybuilding contest at the victoria plaza . gorgeous men with bulging muscles will once again parade on the stage. we hope they are going to wear thongs or t back to make them more sexy and desirable to our eyes. their muscles will be more emphasized if they are going to wear tbak instead of bikinis.
