I read in the papers today that a Ninoy Aquino International Airport official (who prefers to be anonymous) is considering feng shui to “fend off ‘evil spirits’ that may be haunting the NAIA Terminal 3.”
O.M.G.
This high-ranking official was wise to request anonymity from that newspaper.
Feng shui is a body of practices invented by the Chinese during their dynastic era, and while it may have been of use to them during their time, it would most probably not apply to our generation and so far away from mainland China. Feng shui helps people live in harmony with nature — or at least that’s how it started. But I digress.
Anybody care to discuss the highly probable fact that NAIA3′s construction was sub-standard? Why aren’t we reading about any investigation into the airport’s bill of materials? or the construction process?
The accidents that have happened — sections of the ceiling crashing down at different parts of the structure — should be a seriously major concern.
Is our government sitting on their hands, waiting for loss of life before something concrete is done? Right now the condition of NAIA3 is just a tremendous embarrassment. Are we to allow it to become yet another disaster that could’ve — and should’ve — been avoided? Must the public suffer the consequences of having an inutile government?

and that’s not all…NAIA 3 was put to yet another bad light when a woman attempted suicide by trying to jump off from its 4th floor…boohoo.
The suicide attempt, the guard that had an accident and bashed his head against the wall at the airport before it was opened… apparently this unnamed airport official is using these incidents to spawn stories of evil spirits. I’d be laughing my head off right now if the situation weren’t so grave.
really? didn’t hear about the unfortunate guard…haha the anonymous official would make a great storyteller for sure, or shall i say director? who knows maybe he was the man behind the incidents…(stupid thought lol)
Caused by bad construction mixed with bad luck? Wouldn’t be surprised if NAIA came out on one of those reality TV haunted places challenge.
NAIA 3 is an example of how a bureaucracy works! Sad!

yan kasi, pag may budget eh mas malaki pa ang kupit ng officials kesa sa cost ng project…
Well, a little “feng shui” consultancy is not bad at all. But with all this mishaps happening, I would really assume that the building was either substandard or being “rushed” during construction.
