A quiet getaway
There are a number of spots in the city for relaxation, but most of these involve spending and planning and all that — things that add to the stress. Why not a mountain getaway where you don’t have to shell out much and where you can enjoy the cool, crisp and unpolluted air? One such place is Ridge View in Bayabas, Toril, Davao City.
This rest house (I don’t know how else to call it) is along the road that leads to Eden Nature Park, which is about 10 to 15 minutes away by car. There’s not much in there, except for a couple of cottages, some tables outside, and lots of potted plants, vines, flowers.
While Davao is a great place to live in, to raise a family, to do business… life can still get stressful for anyone. Right? You could be too preoccupied with work, worried about the mortgage on your house or family life insurance or things like that.
If you feel the stress creeping in, go for a relaxing weekend — even just for a day — and recharge! That’s exactly what I did when I went with some friends to Eden Nature Park and then to Ridge View last Sunday. And it did me a world of good!
