I’m blogging live from Kasagingán Kapehan, on Torres St., Davao City. We are here for the 2nd day of the Davao Food Appreciation Tour. I’m with Aileen, Jay (the “sweetie”), Andrew, Ria, MiGs™, Angel, Mikko, Gerwin.
This morning, the bloggers were in the place beside this coffee shop — Davao’s Taps, which is practically an institution already, serving tapsilog and all that greasy goodness since time immemorial (i.e., since I was a kid). Then the group went to the exhibits of the Araw ng Dabaw (Davao Foundation Day) celebration, to sample the products of the Food Processors Association of Davao.
Later tonight we’ll be having dinner at Polo Bistro, which is in The Marco Polo Hotel, Davao. Last week, I’d published an article by Ria about our plans for DavaoFAT, and the PR people at The Marco Polo were able read it. So they contacted me and asked to be included in the Tour, because they want to have some new dishes featured. I’ll post my review of Polo Bistro over at Davao Delicious. (It was quite fulfilling to hear them say that they now consider blogs as a serious communications medium.)
Here are some photos of us here at Kasagingán, taken by Andrew, the official foodie photographer of the Tour.
