Fwendz Diner
Do you go for no-frills dining but expect gastronomic treats? Try Fwendz Diner and see just how much you’ll enjoy their food. It’s at the new arcade, Metro Avenue, at the back of the Gaisano Mall of Davao.
Fwendz Diner is a simple enough place, no nonsense and unapologetically inexpensive. Imagine: baby back ribs for Php99! In my honest opinion, they could be selling it for twice that. It’s really good. What about a meal with two pieces of crispy chicken wings, rice and gravy for less than 30 bucks? No kidding.
At night, Fwendz Diner could be a good spot for hanging out with your buddies. Their sisig is the perfect beer match! Although my fave sisig in Davao is still Casa Leticia’s, Fwendz Diner’s is the closest to authentic Capampangan sisig that I’ve ever tasted here.
Oh, and try their bulalo steak! It is to die for!
To get to Fwendz Diner, pass through San Pedro Hospital, or that road behind Gaisano Mall, and proceed towards Bo. Obrero. The Metro Avenue arcade is only a few meters after the mall’s back exit. See you there one of these days!
I was so hungry that night I just had to have another dish…
