Up until awhile ago, 10 Davao bloggers had an impromptu get-together at 51 Coffee Shop. I was finally able to meet Andrew of Alleba Blog and Ria of MyDavaoCity.com. Also in attendance were Doc Jaime (From the Foreroom of My Cranium), Marc (Hoopaddict), Raine (Introspection), Jun M. (Wyzemoro), Dominique (village idiot savant), and Christian (Just Didn’t Make the News). Tope of Fwendz.com also made an appearance.
This was a significant improvement from the last eyeball where there were only 3 of us. (Four, but the other one wasn’t really a blogger, and he left early.)
We talked about organizing the 1st-ever Davao bloggers party, and at last agreed to hold it on the 17th of March. The venue is still up for discussion, but several places have been recommended; namely, the function room over at K1 Family KTV, the Old House in the Habana Compound, and NCCC Mall. If you have a suggestion, please feel free to leave a comment.
The get-together lasted for a few hours, and there were quite a few ear-tingling sound bytes that went around… but my lips are sealed.

As Raine feared, however, such gatherings as this would turn out to be a geekfest, which it did for a brief while, but some of us managed to turn it into an old-wives-circle-gossipping kind of eyeball for a little bit.
It was also a sort of laptop party. A poignant moment for me was when I was able to dig up my old (but defunct) davao.net site from webarchive.org. Thanks, Andrew, for the tip!
Despite the rain, I was really happy with the turnout. I hope next time we’ll have even more! This was Marc’s idea, that we hold small eyeballs running up towards 17 March. Next eyeball, it would be good to meet new faces again.
