SEO stuff

Ever since I started meeting up with Davaoeño bloggers, I’ve come to find out a lot about SEO. Apparently, many bloggers here (or probably anywhere) are into search engine optimization as a way to make a few bucks. In my long absence from all things Web these past couple of years, I’ve not been able to keep up with Internet trends, so my idea of monetizing your blog was simply Google’s AdSense. Well, of course, apart from the traditional way, which is getting paid for writing.

Wyzemoro and BlogieLast night was another eyeball, this time with Jun Macarambon at Blugré Café. Jun is a college student at the Ateneo de Davao, and he hails from Marawi. He’s also very much into SEO stuff: in fact, he’s pretty impressive because, as of presstime, he’s ranked #2 in the ongoing nationwide SEO contest called Ituloy AngSulong. His entry is called Ituloy AngSulong entry by a Proud Moro. Dennis Agulo is also in the top ten. Go Davaoeños!!!

Doing these eyeballs is fun! I used to do this quite a bit, but back then it was with chat-friends on IRC. That got tiresome quickly though, because most of the chatters I had EBs with were rather dull, conversation-wise. Maybe I was just unlucky. Anyway, I think EBs with fellow bloggers are definitely more interesting, because bloggers seem to have more gray matter upstairs. :-)
